Our Research Incubator program is open to all University of Michigan early-career investigators who aim to advance mental health research. Submissions for the 2027 cohort are due by October 16, 2026. 

Application process 

Here’s a list of information you'll need to submit your application:  

  • Summary of your research question, novelty, and potential scientific contribution (less than 500 words).
  • A brief statement of how the project builds upon your research interests to date.
  • The data source you plan to use. 
  • The area of your project that you'll need the most help with. 
  • Personal information (CV or biosketch, name, department, and title).

The deadline to apply for our next cohort is October 16, 2026. We'll notify selected applicants in early December, and projects will start in January.
