U-M resident physician honored with emergency psychiatry award



Chrisantha E. Anandappa, M.D., PGY4 Resident Physician in Adult Psychiatry, has been selected to receive the 2012 American Association for Emergency Psychiatry Residents Award.

The AAEP award is given to residents demonstrating excellence and expertise in emergency psychiatry, as demonstrated by outstanding clinical skills, administrative responsibilities, and educational activities. Dr. Anandappa has been particularly involved in improving the dissemination and utilization of patient education resources in psychiatric practice throughout U-M, and in helping to improve care management between Psychiatric Emergency Services and various campus mental health services.
