Maria Muzik Receives MICHR Funding Award
Maria Muzik, M.D., M.S., Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry, was recently awarded funding in the amount of $49,953 for her proposal entitled "Children at Risk: Follow up of Infants Studied in Pregnancy and Post-Partum." MICHR has committed to funding one half of the total dollar amount with the remaining half of the award made up from contributions from Dr. Muzik's home department and any collaborating units.
The Scientific Review Committee considered a total of sixty-two proposals of which fifty received a full committee discussion. The matching funds from the Medical School, partnering UM departments, schools, centers, and institutes, have made it possible to fund the best twenty-one of the proposals in this round. The funding period for this grant is one year.
