Ann Arbor Public Schools, the Depression Center began a partnership in 2011-2012 with Byram Hills High School in Armonk, N.Y., to provide customized training and education programs focusing on anxiety, stress, and depression. Byram Hills Faculty and students have participated in several training sessions designed to: improve overall knowledge and understanding of depressive illnesses; provide strategies for managing anxiety, stress, and depression; encourage peer leadership and stigma reduction; and utilize evidence-based cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing strategies by school mental health professionals.
