Innovative Approaches to Challenges in Mental Health & Well-being Research: A Speed Collaborating Event

Are you looking for collaborators for your research idea, but don’t know where to start? We have a solution.

Join us for our inaugural Collaborative Minds event, hosted by the Eisenberg Family Depression Center’s Research Innovation Core Faculty Lead, Ethan Kross, Ph.D.

This exclusive event brings together bold thinkers and brilliant minds from across the University of Michigan who are passionate about mental health and well-being. We’re taking the classic “speed networking” format and kicking it up a notch—giving you a fast-paced, fun opportunity to meet diverse peers and spark new collaborations.

Here’s how it works

You’ll meet in small groups with fellow U-M researchers for just 8 minutes to introduce yourself, share ideas and see where your interests intersect. After each round, you’ll rotate to a new group. Our goal? To help you discover collaborators from outside your usual circles who can help you tackle research questions in fresh, multidisciplinary ways.

Why you should attend

  • Meet potential research partners in a lively, no-pressure setting
  • Expand your network across disciplines
  • Opportunity to explore novel ideas and innovations
  • Enjoy great food and beverages while making meaningful connections

Ready to jump in? Let us know!

This internal event is open only to University of Michigan faculty, trainees, and graduate students. Space is limited.
