Dan Adler is an assistant professor in the Computer Science & Engineering Division at the University of Michigan. He is the principal investigator for the Responsible and Actionable Computing for Healthcare (REACH) Lab at the University of Michigan, which uses human-centered methods to design, develop, and evaluate technologies that improve healthcare delivery for everyone. 

Dr. Adler's research focuses on designing, developing, and evaluating novel data-driven technologies and AI models by rigorously studying their high-stakes, complex health care applications. His research is inherently interdisciplinary, situated at the intersection of human-computer interaction (HCI), responsible AI, ubiquitous computing, and digital health. He earned his doctorate and master’s degrees in information science from Cornell University and his bachelor’s degree from The Johns Hopkins University.
