Featured speakers include:
David Litts, O.D., F.A.A.O., serves as Director, Science and Policy at the
Suicide Prevention Resource Center (SPRC) and holds the position of
Distinguished Scholar at the Education Development Center, Inc. In this
capacity, he leads a team of scholars and experts that guides the infusion of the
best available science into all operational aspects of the SPRC.
An additional focus is the development and dissemination of evidence-based
suicide prevention policies and practices among professionals, community
leaders and their organizations.
Jack Klott, L.M.S.W., recently retired after a 43 year career with varied
experiences in mental health and substance abuse services. He is currently
conducting training seminars on the prevention of Suicide, the prevention of Selfmutilation,
Motivational Interviewing, and the DSM. He is also a 30-year
member of the American Association of Suicidology and one of the founders of
the Michigan Association of Suicidology.
Mr. Klott authored the “Suicide and Homicide Risk Assessment and Treatment
Planner” (Wiley & Sons, NY, 2004) and the “Co-occurring Disorders Treatment
Planner” (Wiley & Sons, NY, 2006).
