University of Michigan Depression Center

Participating Services

The Depression Center's integrative, multidisciplinary approach involves collaborative partnerships with several other medical and academic programs at the University of Michigan, including Family Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Pediatrics, Internal Medicine, Psychology, Kinesiology, and Psychiatry, the Turner Geriatrics Center, the Comprehensive Cancer Center, the Cardiovascular Center, the Women's Health Center, as well as the Schools of Public Health, Social Work, Nursing, the College of Pharmacy, the Institute for Social Research (ISR) and the new Life Sciences Initiative. The synergy of its more than one hundred contributing faculty members from these areas is acutely focused on the investigation and introduction of novel depression education, research, and treatment strategies. This will enhance the Center's goal to eliminate the traditional isolation of mental health services and bring meaningful collaborations.
