Educational Speakers Program

The Depression Center’s Educational Speakers Program is intended to enhance the public’s understanding of depressive disorders. The Program Manager for Outreach & Education arranges for experts from the Depression Center to share their knowledge with community groups, schools, and other interested organizations.

If you are interested in having a Depression Center faculty member give a presentation for your organization, please contact Trish Meyer at meyerpa@umich.edu with the following information:

  • Name of the group you represent
  • Number of people expected
  • Proposed lecture topic
  • Amount of time allotted for the activity
  • Possible date(s) for the activity (scheduling is easier if there is more than one choice of date)
  • Location
  • Honoraria amount, if available
  • Your contact information

Please remember that most of the Depression Center faculty members live and work around Ann Arbor.  Unless you are able to provide mileage reimbursement, most speakers will not be able to travel long distances.

The Depression Center’s Educational Speakers Program serves an important role in fulfilling the Center's mission of education and stigma reduction. We hope that you will find it beneficial and informative.  Thanks for your interest!
